Acclaimed New Zealand architect Fearon Hay has done a concept plan for a signature house of the standard of my neighbouring home, the House of Parihoa. This home would incorporate stunning rural views with protection from the weather elements.

If I were keeping Tirikohua Point Farm, I could see the next decade's potential. With discipline and imagination, it could rival the "wow" of my two neighbouring properties. Moreover, that is the beauty of Tirikohua Point Farm - enjoy it as it is, or drive forth with your ultimate vision.

Tirikohua Point Farm

Written by Matthew Chapman, Owner

In 2021, I purchased the 128-acre Tirikohua Point Farm ("TP Farm") from my neighbours. At this time, I owned the neighbouring two properties: the 25.7 acre House of Parihoa and the 554 acre Table Top Farm. Adding Tirikohua Point Farm to this collection gave 711 acres of West Coast seaside properties, known as Parihoa Farm. As I simplify my life, all three properties are offered for sale, separately or as a whole.

Tirikohua Point Farm sits high on cliffs looking over the Tasman Sea and captures the heavenly sunsets of the West Coast that constantly make your jaw drop. The views across Muriwai Beach are exquisite, underrated, and world-class, especially with Auckland just a 40-minute car ride away.

Tirikohua Point Farm is crowned with a beautiful country-style homestead, which we have renovated, and the already exquisite gardens have been transformed by adding extra features. In 2022, we added a world-class wellbeing pavilion with accommodation for our guests. Of greatest enjoyment has been the addition of our mesmerising glass 'star-gazing cabin'.

The farmland has beautiful contours, including high plains, low valleys and wetlands. The land lends itself to exploration, glamping and also, of course, farming. According to our Farm Manager, it can hold 200 sheep, 30 cattle, or a combination of both!

Tirikohua Point Farm lends itself to private or commercial activities or a mixture of both. I see it used jointly for farming and wellbeing activities. Our guests all attest to Tirikohua Point Farm being somewhere they have had that inflection point on life, which speaks for itself.

Top architects Fearon Hay were engaged to create a concept plan for a sanctuary that harmonises with the land; within a fortress-like exterior, you'll find sheltered courtyards and gardens seamlessly blending with the interior spaces, perfectly aligned with the land's development potential.
